Respiratory syncytial virus is an RNA virus that belongs to genus Pneumovirus, family Pneumovirinae. It’s mainly spread by droplet transmission, and direct contact of finger contaminated by respiratory syncytial virus with nasal mucosa and ocular mucous is also an important route of transmission. Respiratory syncytial virus is a cause of pneumonia. Upon incubation period, respiratory syncytial virus will cause fever, running nose, cough and sometimes pant. Respiratory syncytial virus infection may occur among populations of any age groups, where senior citizens and people with impaired lungs, heart or immune system are more likely to be infected.
Intend Use
This reagent is used for in vitro qualitative detection of antigen to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in human oropharyngeal swab and nasopharyngeal swab samples, and it’s suitable for auxiliary diagnosis of respiratory syncytial virus infection. This kit only provides detection result of antigen to respiratory syncytial virus, and results obtained shall be used in combination with other clinical information for analysis. It must only be used by healthcare professionals.

Take the test device out of aluminum foil bag, place it on a flat tabletop and properlymark the sample.

Add 10uL of serum or plasma sample or 20uL of whole blood to sample hole, and thendrip 100uL (about 2-3 drops) of sample diluent to sample hole and start timing.

Result should be read within 10-15 minutes. Test result will be invalid after 15 minutes.
